I "sold" my first item on Listia. Someone from Detroit "bought" an old Vegas ashtray I had, for about 200 credits. Made him happy, made me happy! Yay! I am really enjoying the site for its simplicity and overall joyfulness. There's no pressure, no wondering "how it looks." It's trading in its purest form. I love it!

Captain's Log, Day 3
I want to mention another website I provide a link to, here on my blog. The site is "Heartsy" and the link is the little blue creature.
Heartsy is an exposure venue for craftspeople, about 95% of whom are from Etsy. The craftspeople (and others) work with Heartsy to come up with deep discount "deals" that get offered to interested parties like you and me. The idea is that when shops have passed the voting gauntlets they get featured as "deals," thus potentially receiving tons of exposure from the people who see them and/or buy their deals. There are some really excellent deals to be had, on some truly excellent things!
I signed up on Heartsy to vote for and purchase deals from Etsy shops that I like. I don't want to be featured. I personally don't think it's a good idea for Vintage people to go to all the trouble to get featured on Heartsy, unless their inventory is absolutely huge and they can handle the exposure when they get it, and the loss. (But gosh do I see some small vintage shops vying to be featured!) If I (JustPlainVintage) offered 50 people a 60% discount voucher to be used on anything in my shop for the next year, I'd be broke for the next year! I'm actually laughing sympathetically right now, thinking I should buy up some deals from the featured vintage shops, add back the 40% they're losing and put the stuff in my shop. Lol! See what I mean! More power to the small shops though, and I sincerely hope it works out for them.
If you click on the blue creature in this blog you should know that we'll each get $5 if you buy something. You can click, not click, click somewhere else or type "Heartsy" in the search line. Up to you. I just like looking at the little blue creature and being able to get to Heartsy fast. The more graphics of him, the better.
That's it for today! Thanks for sharing your time with me. I really mean that.
Please "react" or comment, below, so I know if I'm annoying people or not. I don't want to do that. Please also take the little poll(s) (somewhere on the right), especially if you're familiar with my Etsy shop. Thank you!
All posts and polls are anonymous and you don't have to join anything! I don't care where you come from, I just really want to know what you think.
